Despite citing “disappointment” as their main influence, emo/math rock band Forests does anything but disappoint. While the three-piece band, consisting of members Darell (bassist and vocalist), Adam (guitarist and vocalist) and Niki (drummer), might seem carefree and jovial through their fun and quirky social media posts, a different side of them is reflected in their music. The quartet released their first EP, “worst beach vacation ever, circa 1997”, in July 2015. The debut EP came with three songs, “who cares really”, “cirrus clouds” and “dakota”.
Canvas Conversations is bound to start conversations with their creative and colourful music style. Pop-rock band The Summer State has been rubbing shoulders with famous international acts since their infectious ballad, ‘I Do I Don’t’, shot up the charts in 2013. As of today, its music video has over 100,000 views on YouTube. Their recent single, ‘Enough’, is also doing well, with over 10,000 views on YouTube. The quintet consists of vocalist, Bryan, guitarists, Victoria and Shaykh, bassist, Edwin, and drummer, Ritz.
One woman band, bittymacbeth, is already rocking the stage with recognition from established local artistes such as Inch Chua, and featuring Dru Chen and Benjamin Kheng on her debut EP, ‘Beauty For Ashes’.
