The Summer State Loves The Word Weenus
Pop-rock band The Summer State has been rubbing shoulders with famous international acts since their infectious ballad, 'I Do I Don’t', shot up the charts in 2013. As of today, its music video has over 100,000 views on YouTube. Their recent single, 'Enough', is also doing well, with over 10,000 views on YouTube. The quintet consists of vocalist, Bryan, guitarists, Victoria and Shaykh, bassist, Edwin, and drummer, Ritz. The band even featured as the opening acts for renowned bands Mayday Parade and Yellowcard in 2011 and 2012 respectively, despite being relatively new at the time. Since then, The Summer State has performed gigs overseas, in Indonesia, Malaysia, and even the Philippines.

As our Artiste of the Week, we asked The Summer State some random questions so we can get to know them better.
What is your best childhood memory?
Veek: My dad used to randomly bring my brother and I to the zoo, bird park, and underwater world.
If you could only keep 5 possessions, what would they be?
Veek: Maggie and Bubbles (my jack russells), watch, passport, and my Fender Jazzmaster
How do you spend your free time?
Bryan: Watching anything on the Vice YouTube channel.Edwin: I'll be on my PS4 playing FIFA.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
Edwin: One time I was buying food at the airport and the cashier said, "have a safe flight back" and I replied with "you too".
What is your favourite word?
Veek: Weenus
