Toggle Media Conference: Die Die Also Must Serve
Toggle Originals launched new drama series, ‘Die Die Also Must Serve’, alongside two other original series, ‘Love Across The Causeway’ and ‘Lonely Fish’. The brand-new series took a fresh approach from the usual army-centric show, as it is themed a horro-dy, or more commonly known as horror comedy. We were lucky to be invited down to the media conference of "Die Die Also Must Serve" by Toggle, where we got to meet the leading actors and actresses of the show and hear their take on it!
The show revolves around 6 anecdotes and follows various protagonists sharing ghostly tales, including Shane Pow as reservist Goh Chee Seng, Nick Teo as Nathan Teo and Ya Hui as Lieutenant Carrely Tan. Things became spookier when Chee Seng calls in to recount tales during DJ Zhong Wei Yu’s supernatural-themed radio show, played by YES 933 DJ Hazelle Teo. During the media conference, Shane Pow shared that ghost tales covered in the series matched quite closely to stories he has heard of before in the army. Playing the ‘Madam’ in the show, Ya Hui was also thankful for the tips from the boys during the shoot. Hazelle Teo, though still playing the role of a DJ in the show, was happy for the chance to star in the drama, relieving her hobby for acting. As for Nick Teo, the shoot was fun for him despite this being his first lead role, especially because of the good camaraderie with the other casts.
The show premieres on Toggle on 18 January and releases a new episode every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It’s a die die also must watch, be sure to catch it and get spooked out!
