OOOMY 2017 - Championing Local Music

On the 5 February 2017, Radio Heatwave treated the public to eight hours of heavenly music thanks to its annual event, Originals Only Open Mike for Youths (OOOMY), in collaboration with OOOM Singapore. Acts such as Gareth Fernandez, Falling Feathers, and Disco Hue came down to the The Star Vista, enchanting the crowd with their strikingly different yet commonly breathtaking music styles.

Forests Can't Go 2 Hours Without Sleep?!

Despite citing “disappointment” as their main influence, emo/math rock band Forests does anything but disappoint. While the three-piece band, consisting of members Darell (bassist and vocalist), Adam (guitarist and vocalist) and Niki (drummer), might seem carefree and jovial through their fun and quirky social media posts, a different side of them is reflected in their music. The quartet released their first EP, "worst beach vacation ever, circa 1997", in July 2015. The debut EP came with three songs, "who cares really", "cirrus clouds" and "dakota".
